The Shop
Welcome to Pagan Planet - Manchesters Mystical Zone and the home to Lancashire witchery. This is a new store, and only been trading since April 2011, but in that short time I have built a good reputation for fair and honest service, priding myself in taking the time to help beginners find their initial steps on their pagan path, and ensuring they find what they need.
Pagan planet is not a New Age shop, I don't trade in the purely decorative. My business is for the working witch.
There was a time when many pagan suppliers could be found on the high street, but alas many have disappeared and now trade over the internet, resulting in a buyer not really knowing exactly what they are purchasing until they receive it.
I don't know about you, but I miss going into the shops and smelling the incense, handling what I am buying, and having the satisfaction of taking it home with me. That is why I started my business, Pagan Planet.
My name is Raven. Welcome to my world.

Raven
I have always lived in a pagan world. My parents were witches as was my maternal grandmother. Through my mothers side I inherited my psychic vision, always being able to see, and talk to the 'dead'. I was allowed to grow up and find my own spiritual path in life, never having any restrictions placed upon me. So over the years I looked into all religions that attracted me, from Christianity to Buddhism, from Islam to Baha' i. I found none of these held a certain something I needed, and none really incorporated the reality of things I saw and experienced so I moved on.
I met a woman who became a great friend and mentor, herself a witch and related to a rather notable witch personality of the 60s and 70s. This woman helped me hone some of my abilities by introducing me to the local spiritualist church which went some way to satisfying my spiritual need.
It was about this time in the mid 1980s that I first really got involved in the tarot and learned to read the cards, first using the little book that came with them, then gradually as my confidence grew, working more and more on intuition and my marrying the cards to my psychic visions. Slowly but surely I found myself returning to my original wiccan beliefs and practices until eventually even the spiritualist churc h didn't do it for me and I left to pursue my own particular spiritual path as eventually I realised that you don't really need an established form of religion to cloak your beliefs in. Follow your heart, let your own feelings guide you.
Over the last 30 years I have studied many pagan and witchcraft beliefs - and practiced many! I have also always wanted to create a little shop in which to help my pagan community, and when I moved from London to Manchester I found the time was right and so decided to go for it!
Which is why I now have Pagan planet.
